Admission Guide and Recruitment Information

About Drop-off and Pick-up Times

  • Operating hours are from 8:00 to 18:00.
  • Classes start at 9:30. Please arrive by 9:20.
  • Pick-up time starts at 16:40.
  • Closed on Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, and the year-end and New Year holidays.
  • After-school pick-up times are the same as above.

Admission Age Requirement

  • Eligible for children who have reached 1 year of age and older.

Recruitment Period

  • Open recruitment. The notice board is updated periodically.
  • Please check the availability and reserve a tour.

Online Admission Procedures

Please submit the following documents to our online electronic platform:

  • Childcare service contract
  • Health check form at the time of use
  • Medical examination report
  • Copies of health insurance card and maternal and child health handbook

Free Early Childhood Education and Care

  • Orchard Kinder is eligible for the free early childhood education and care program.
  • Individuals who are three years old and meet requirements are eligible for a monthly subsidy of 37,000 yen from Yokohama City.

Safety Measures

Guidance and Supervision Standards Certificate

Orchard Kinder is registered as an Private Childcare Facility with Yokohama City based on Article 59-2 of the Child Welfare Law, and conducts annual operational reports. Furthermore, the facility and its operations are subject to annual inspections.

The inspections cover a wide range of areas including facility safety standards, evacuation drills, health and hygiene management, guidance plans, and childcare records. Since its opening, Orchard Kinder has met the government's guidance and supervision standards.

About Medical Partnerships

In partnership with The Bluff Medical Clinic, we conduct biannual health check-ups, consultations for children’s health, and emergency medical responses.

About Evacuation Drills

With the highest priority on children’s safety, we conduct regular monthly evacuation drills. These drills are based on various scenarios to ensure swift and calm actions during disasters or emergencies, creating a safe learning environment for the children.

About Security

The building we occupy is equipped with a SECOM security system, and surveillance cameras are installed both inside and outside to ensure the safety of the children at all times.

About the Safety of Meals

Our meals are provided by Bikoken Co., Ltd., which is HACCP certified, ensuring the highest standard of food safety management. HACCP is an evaluation system that ensures safety from the receipt of raw materials to the shipment of finished products. Prioritizing the health and safety of the children, we also focus on food education, ensuring children can enjoy their meals to the fullest, with second servings prepared as needed.
